Tácen

ealdriceemblemgoldcenterThe Ealdríce’s tácen (token, emblem) is taken from an Anglo-Saxon sceatt (coin), perhaps struck in Frisia or Denmark, and believed to bear upon it the graven likeness of a heathen god or godsprung king.

As such, the kingly cast upon this sceatt both betokens the worship given by our fellowship to the heathen gods and godsprung kings of yore and speaks to the unfolding of the Théodish thew begotten to us by those ríces which came before our own.
